These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Umbar website, mobile application, and related services (collectively, the "Service") operated by Umbar ("Umbar", "we", "us", or "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Accounts
To use certain features, you must create an account and provide accurate, complete information. You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly at support@umbar.app if you suspect unauthorized access.
The Service
Umbar is a learning marketplace that helps students discover classes and helps instructors manage teaching operations such as scheduling, enrollment, attendance, messaging, and related tools. We may add, change, or discontinue features at any time.
User responsibilities
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent purpose
- Post false, misleading, or infringing content
- Harass, abuse, or harm other users
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems, accounts, or data
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its security
- Scrape, copy, or resell Service content without permission
Instructors are responsible for the accuracy of class listings, pricing, schedules, and communications with students. Students are responsible for enrollment decisions and compliance with instructor policies communicated through the Service.
Payments and fees
Where payments are processed through or in connection with the Service, you agree to pay applicable fees and taxes. Payment terms, refunds, and cancellations may be governed by additional policies shown at checkout or by the instructor. We are not responsible for disputes solely between instructors and students except as required by law.
Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, trademarks, and content we provide, is owned by Umbar or its licensors and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of content you submit, but grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, display, and use that content solely to operate and improve the Service.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, UMBAR AND ITS AFFILIATES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (USD $100).
Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Umbar and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from claims arising out of your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms.
