Umbar starts as a marketplace where students discover classes - and becomes a management platform where everything runs day-to-day.

From scheduling and attendance to payments, messaging, trials, and multi-profile support - it brings everything into one place.

For instructors: auto-generated schedules, a daily calendar, attendance tracking, monthly records with payment status, announcements, and trial management - plus a way to get discovered by new students.

For students and parents: a class dashboard, fee visibility, attendance history, messaging, and the ability to explore and join classes nearby.

The Story Behind Umbar

The idea behind Umbar came from home. My wife teaches both online and in-person classes, and I'd watch her juggle attendance in one app, schedules in a spreadsheet, fees in a notebook, and parent communication across WhatsApp groups. On top of that, getting new students was always a separate, ongoing effort.

She tried several tools, but nothing brought it all together.

This wasn't just her problem. Thousands of independent instructors face the same thing every day - managing classes and trying to grow them. So I built Umbar to fix both.

It starts with discovery - a simple marketplace where students can find classes, explore instructor profiles, and request trials without friction.

Once they join, it becomes the system for everyday class life: schedules, attendance, records, payments, announcements with read acknowledgements, and direct messaging.

Every feature exists because someone needed it in real life. It's built with care and a deep understanding of what instructors and students actually go through.
